IP67 Waterproof Micro Switch Enters Mass Production
After 18 months of joint development and three design-validation rounds, the HAOSWITCH IP67 series entered mass production, with first shipments to a European ESS customer.
A triple sealing structure
The new parts combine a silicone gasket, ultrasonically welded housing and potted terminal area, raising protection to IP67 while retaining 5 A / 16 A capability. In our own UL reliability lab, samples completed:
- 96 h neutral salt spray (5% NaCl at 35 °C)
- 30-minute immersion at 1 m depth
- 200 thermal-shock cycles from -40 °C to +105 °C
- IP re-verification after 1,000,000 mechanical operations
Target applications
The series targets outdoor ESS cabinets, EV chargers, automotive exterior mechanisms and marine equipment, with 300 mm / 500 mm UL cable options.
An IP rating is not just a number — it is the ability to survive real operating conditions.
